Mysore Bonda & Coconut Chutney

Mysore Bonda entered into my favourites list,when i first had it in my college canteen, and that forced me to learn the bonda recipe.
This Bonda goes well with coconut chutney or peanut chutney.

Mysore Bonda:
Ingredients:


  • All purpose flour(Maida)---1 cup
  • Sour curd+Water - to make the batter
  • Green chilies (finely chopped)-2
  • Coconut pieces-few
  • cuminseeds-few
  • Grated Carrot-half carrot
  • Salt--taste
  • Baking soda--A pinch

Method:

  • Mix all the above ingredients using the curd to a bajji dough consistency. Keep this aside for up to 2hours.Heat some oil in a frying pan.
  • When the oil is hot enough, drop the batter in oil and deep fry them till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney.
  • These bondas are very crispy and tasty too.

Chutney Ingredients:
You can take the quantities of the ingredients as shown in the picture!!!
  • Fried bengal gram(Pacchi senaga pappu)
  • Fresh coconut Pieces
  • Green chillies
  • Cumin seeds(jeera)
  • Tamarind
  • Salt
  • Seasoning(Red chillies,urad dal,cumin seeds,mustard seeds,curryleaves)

Method:

  • Fry bengal gram and then green chillies in the oil.
  • Mix all the ingredients shown in the below picture using water
  • Add salt to the grinded mix.
  • Finally seasoning the chutney(Heat some oil and fry seasoning ingrediants in that).
  • This Chutney goes well with Bonda,idli,dosa etc,
