Milk Pudding(Junnu)

This sweet is very simple to make and need only less ingredients to prepare.I shared this dish with few of my friends and they requested to post the recipe in my blog, in which I am not posting these days since I am busy, So here I am sharing the recipe!!!!!
Ingredients:
Milk -2 cups
Eggs-3
Jaggery -1cup or as required
Elachi powder-1 Table Spoon
Crushed Pepper-2 Table Spoon
Procedure:
1.Blend all the above mentioned ingredients
2.take all the blended liquid in to a steel bowl and cook it in a pressure cooker until 3 whistles.
3.Make it cool and serve it.

Sabudana Bonda

Ingrediants:
Sabudana-1 cup
Yogurt-21/2 cup
All purpose flour(Maida)-2 Full table spoons
Riceflour- Approximately 5 table spoonsor more if required to get bonda dough consistency
Onions-1 medium size
Green Chillies-(4-7)according to your taste
Baking Soda-1tsp
Salt-For taste
Oil-For frying
Curryleafs-1 stem
Chopped Corriander

Method:
1.Soak Sabudana in yogurt for up to 4 hours.
2.Then add all 2 spoons purpose flour to this.
3.Then add required amount of rice flour to this to get bonda consistency.
4.Then add salt and baking soda.
5.Then add chopped onions,chillies,curryleaves,corriander to this.
6.Take a little bit dough in to your hand and fry it in the oil.
7.Serve the hot bonda with ketchup.

Wheat Flour Dosa(Goduma pindi dosa)

Making this dosa is very simple. When ever I feel bore of making regular breakfast or lazy to spend more time in kitchen , I will simply make this dosa in 10 minutes of time.This dosa goes well with sugar and ghee. I learnt this dosa from my mother.

Ingredients:
Wheat flour(Goduma pindi)
Salt
oil
Water

Procedure:
  • Add salt to wheat flour,then add water and thorougly mix the batter without any lumps.
  • The consistency should be like dosa batter.
  • Now heat the dosa pan and pour this batter(as you normally do for any other dosa)
  • Your dosa is ready to eat, serve it with sugar and ghee.
  • This dosa seems to be like chapati, but it tastes really good.

Mysore Bonda & Coconut Chutney

Mysore Bonda entered into my favourites list,when i first had it in my college canteen, and that forced me to learn the bonda recipe.
This Bonda goes well with coconut chutney or peanut chutney.

Mysore Bonda:
Ingredients:


  • All purpose flour(Maida)---1 cup
  • Sour curd+Water - to make the batter
  • Green chilies (finely chopped)-2
  • Coconut pieces-few
  • cuminseeds-few
  • Grated Carrot-half carrot
  • Salt--taste
  • Baking soda--A pinch

Method:

  • Mix all the above ingredients using the curd to a bajji dough consistency. Keep this aside for up to 2hours.Heat some oil in a frying pan.
  • When the oil is hot enough, drop the batter in oil and deep fry them till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney.
  • These bondas are very crispy and tasty too.

Chutney Ingredients:
You can take the quantities of the ingredients as shown in the picture!!!
  • Fried bengal gram(Pacchi senaga pappu)
  • Fresh coconut Pieces
  • Green chillies
  • Cumin seeds(jeera)
  • Tamarind
  • Salt
  • Seasoning(Red chillies,urad dal,cumin seeds,mustard seeds,curryleaves)

Method:

  • Fry bengal gram and then green chillies in the oil.
  • Mix all the ingredients shown in the below picture using water
  • Add salt to the grinded mix.
  • Finally seasoning the chutney(Heat some oil and fry seasoning ingrediants in that).
  • This Chutney goes well with Bonda,idli,dosa etc,

Ugadi Pacchadi

This is one of my favourites, I normally wait for ugadi just for this ugadi pacchadi.
Before my marriage my grandmother never used to prepare this prasadam at home due to some sentiments. My neighbouring aunty used to give this pacchadi every year and also i used to go to temple just for this prasadam.This is the first time i prepared this prasadam for ugadi and it came out very well!!! So friends here you go.
Ingredients & Procedure:
Thick tamarind juice-1 cup
Mango pieces-Half cup
Banana-Half cup
Jaggery-For sweetness
Neem flowers-few(This time i could not get this neem flowers at any indian grocery store here, so i used little bit of bitter gourd juice)
Red chilli powder-1/4th of small table spoon
salt-for taste
Preocedure is very simple,Just mix all the ingredents and you are done.

Vanilla Egg Cake

This vanilla flavour cake is simple and easy to make!!!!
Ingredients:
All purpose flour(Maida)-1 cup
Butter-1cup
Eggs-1cup(up to 5 eggs)
Sugar-1cup
Vanilla -2 drops
Baking soda-1spoon
Cashews(made into small pieces)-Few
Almonds(made in to small pieces)-Few
Procedure:
1.Mix all purpose flour,butter,egg liquid,sugar,vanilla,baking soda using a hand blender.
2.Take a baking tray and apply butter to that and pour the mix in to the tray,and on the top add
cashews and almonds.
Cake batter in the baking tray(Ready to bake)
3.Preheat the oven to 300F.
4.Bake the cake for up to 30 minutes.(you can test whether the cake is baked or not by inserting a fork into cake and see if the fork comes out neatly). Cake(Ready to eat)
